The Completo is usually composed of various ingredients or accompaniments, which makes it very versatile and affordable for different tastes, generating in turn different types of Completos.

In addition to bread and sausage (Vienesa), among the most typical or classic ingredients of completo in Chile are: tomato (cut into small cubes), avocado, mayonnaise and sauerkraut. Usually other seasonings such as salsa americana. Ketchup and mustard can be added.
The Completo was created by Eduardo Bahamondes, the one who was inspired by the hot dogs of the United States of America which began to exist in the nineteenth century close to New York, later it would arrive in Chile in 1920.

What makes the difference between a hot dog and a Completo is the ingredients. This is because the Completo has more toppings. There are many variants of the Completo, but one of the most emblematic is the wet Completo, this same is popular in Talca.
